Military and commercial aircraft industrial parts supplier Jamco Aerospace, which counts the U.S. Navy, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin among its clients, had its systems claimed to be compromised by the Play ransomware operation, which threatened to expose the stolen data on August 10, reports Cybernews.

The court found that the use of spyware for investigations into less severe crimes posed a significant intrusion into privacy. 

The attack chain begins with phishing emails containing TAR, RAR or 7Z attachments.

The industry needs to move forward, but companies still need backups to protect from an attack.

Major French telecommunications provider Bouygues Telecom had information from 6.4 million customers compromised following a recent cyberattack, according to The Record, a news site by cybersecurity firm Recorded Future.
