South Korea's Financial Services Commission (FSC) convened an emergency meeting following a series of cyberattacks that have impacted several financial institutions within the country.
According to The Register, UK education software provider Bromcom has alerted its customers to a personal data breach impacting its single sign-on (SSO) technology.
The company announced the incident on September 25, stating that a third party had accessed its systems at the beginning of the month, with unauthorized access blocked on September 26.
Asus disclosed that an intruder gained access to a portion of its online eShop environment, potentially compromising customer order information, including contact details and order records.
The breach occurred between September 13 and September 17, 2026, when attackers gained access to shopper data via compromised credentials for the Ribon and Ribon 1.5 applications.
The breach was discovered after an attacker posted online claiming to have obtained 7.49 million customer records, including names, phone numbers, addresses, account numbers, billing amounts, and partial Social Security numbers.
