Allegedly pilfered Collins Aerospace data spilled by Everest ransomware

Collins Aerospace had data purportedly stolen from its systems leaked by the Everest ransomware group, which had targeted the firm's automatic check-in and boarding software in a September attack that disrupted major airports across Europe, Cybernews reports.

Included in the 23 GB data trove exposed by Everest were binaries, supporting files, and internal tool diagnostic logs, which may aid in the discovery of Collins Aerospace system vulnerabilities, as well as a file with 1.5 million records containing passengers' names and flight details, according to Cybernews researchers.

"Based on what the group shared previously in screenshots, it is likely that the uploaded data is only a part of the data they obtained," said researchers.

Collins Aerospace has yet to acknowledge the leaked data. Everest's disclosure of Collins Aerospace information comes just days after it removed a link to data allegedly stolen from Dublin Airport as a result of the Collins breach.
