Another breach involving Onsite Health Diagnostics, Kansas City hospital impacted

Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City is notifying 4,076 individuals that Onsite Health Diagnostics, a vendor used by wellness program provider StayWell Health Management, experienced a breach that affected their personal information.

How many victims? 4,076. 

What type of personal information? Names, addresses, dates of birth, phone numbers, and email addresses.

What happened? An Onsite Health Diagnostics system that stored the information was breached.

What was the response? The data has been removed from the affected system. All impacted individuals are being notified.

Details: The data was stored in a scheduling application used in 2012 to register Children's Mercy Hopsital employees and spouses or domestic partners in a wellness program. The breach occurred in “the last few months,” the report indicates. A connection is unclear, but Onsite Health Diagnostics was involved in two other recently disclosed data breaches.

Quote: “We do not believe that affected individuals are at risk for identity theft, and we do not believe individuals need to take action due to the non-sensitive nature of the information,” Melissa Gilkerson, a StayWell spokesperson, said.
