Major U.S. insurance provider Kemper Corporation had more than 29 GB of data from its Salesforce account claimed to have been stolen by the ShinyHunters hacking group, which leaked more than 13 million records following failed negotiations, reports Cybernews.Despite having launched an investigation into ShinyHunters' claims, Kemper emphasized that none of its operations have been disrupted. Analysis of the exposed Kemper dataset revealed four separate folders, with the SharePoint folder containing corporate files that detailed internal workflows and employee training materials, and the Azure folder featuring employees' personally identifiable information, according to Cybernews researchers. On the other hand, the Salesforce folder had employee data with PII, while the Salesforce objects folder included Stripe logs, some of which had customers' full names, payment amounts, and other transaction details, researchers added.Such a development comes after ShinyHunters had leaked a massive dataset purportedly from Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar Games, as well as claimed the compromise of Amtrak.
