Infoblox has launched two key integrations with Amazon Web Services designed to streamline hybrid cloud network management and bolster cloud-native security, reports Security Brief Australia.
The first integration connects Infoblox's Universal IP Address Management with Amazon VPC IPAM, aiming to eliminate a major operational bottleneck. This allows network and cloud operations teams to collaboratively automate IP address assignments, preventing conflicts and service outages across on-premises and cloud environments. The second offering introduces Infoblox Managed Rules for the AWS Network Firewall, leveraging the company's vast DNS-based threat intelligence to proactively block connections to known malicious domains.
According to Infoblox Chief Product Officer Mukesh Gupta, this DNS-first approach can stop threats "on average 68.4 days before other solutions even know they exist."
The company emphasizes that automating these firewall rules can save security teams hundreds of hours per month in manual maintenance. These integrations collectively address the dual challenges of IP sprawl in hybrid clouds and the need for preemptive, intelligence-driven security for workloads running on AWS, helping enterprises accelerate cloud adoption while reducing operational risk.
