Professional Bio
I’m a cybersecurity leader and practitioner with more than 10 years of experience working across both the technical and business sides of security. Over the course of my career, I’ve worked in cybersecurity strategy, governance and risk, security architecture, vulnerability management, threat management, cloud security, incident response, and regulatory compliance.
As CISO of JCFM Consulting Services, I work with organizations to understand their cyber risk, strengthen their security programs, and make practical decisions that balance security requirements with business needs. My experience includes building and assessing security programs, technology risk assessments, vulnerability and attack surface management, third-party risk, identity and access management, cloud and data security, and incident preparedness. I’ve also had the opportunity to work in complex and highly regulated environments across the financial, government, and healthcare sectors.
I hold a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity along with several industry certifications, including CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, CDPSE, CCSK, and ISC2 CC. One of the perspectives I bring to cybersecurity is the ability to look at a problem from both sides — understanding the technical details while also considering risk, business impact, regulatory requirements, and what is realistically achievable within an organization.
