Mobilelink US, which is U.S. prepaid wireless service provider Cricket Wireless' leading cell phone and service dealer, had 5.04 TB of data purportedly siphoned by the DragonForce ransomware operation, which threatened to expose the stolen information in less than a week, reports Cybernews. While DragonForce has provided scant details regarding the pilfered data, Mobilelink US may have had personally identifiable information and financial data from millions of Cricket Wireless customers across 21 states, including Alabama, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, exposed as a result of the breach, according to Cybernews researchers.Attacks by DragonForce, which was recently reported to have allied with the Qilin and LockBit ransomware gangs, have already impacted 185 organizations so far this year, with most of the intrusions occurring within the last six months. DragonForce was also previously noted to have usurped the RansomHub operation, while compromising both BlackLock and Mamona ransomware groups' leak sites.
