Hacktivist operation Department of Peace has allegedly compromised the Department of Homeland Security and exposed files purportedly stolen from its systems in retaliation for federal agents' recent killings of protesters Alex Pretti and Renee Good in Minneapolis earlier this year, TechCrunch reports.

Included in the alleged leaked data trove, which was reportedly obtained from the DHS's Office of Industry Partnership and published by DDoSecrets, were contracts made by the DHS and Immigration and Customs Enforcement with over 6,000 firms, such as Microsoft, Oracle, and defense contractors L3Harris, Raytheon, and Palantir, said the Department of Peace.

Among the most notable contracts allegedly exposed by Department of Peace include a $70 million deal with Cyber Apex Solutions, which touts its ability to address U.S. critical infrastructure security, and a $59 million deal with Science Applications International Corporation, which is an AI service provider for government entities, according to a website organizing the leaked data created by security researcher Micah Lee.
