Cyberattack confirmed by LISI Group after Qilin claims

Major French global industrial supplier LISI Group, which counts Airbus and Boeing among its clients, has disclosed having a pair of its ancillary sites impacted by a cybersecurity incident after being allegedly compromised by the Qilin ransomware gang, Cybernews reports.

Only a limited amount of information had been stolen as a result of the intrusion, according to LISI Group CEO Emmanuel Viellard, who emphasized that the firm's operations or infrastructure were not affected. LISI Group's confirmation comes as Qilin claimed to target the company over the weekend. Analysis of data samples provided by Qilin revealed screenshots of bank transfers as early as 2016, bank account details, employee consent forms, sales plans, internal business documents, provision contracts, confidentiality agreements, documents containing employee names and contact information, as well as similar documentation associated with partner firms.

Nearly 1,455 organizations have already been compromised by Qilin, with Malaysian Airlines being its most recent victim before LISI Group.
