Three healthcare providers across the U.S. were noted by the Department of Health and Human Services' breach tracker to have been impacted by separate cyberattacks last year, which have collectively compromised data from about 600,000 individuals, SecurityWeek reports.

Most significant of the breaches affected the North Texas Behavioral Health Authority, with personal details, including Social Security numbers, from 285,000 people stolen following an October attack. On the other hand, Southern Illinois Dermatology disclosed that 160,000 had their personal details siphoned in a late November breach after the Insomnia ransomware gang purported an attack that compromised 150,000 patients.

Meanwhile, Saint Anthony Hospital, which is also in Illinois, reported the exposure of 146,000 individuals' personal and health data in a February 2025 intrusion against a pair of employee email accounts. Additional details regarding Saint Anthony's attackers remain unclear but the hospital had been targeted by the LockBit ransomware gang.
