Texas-based financial services provider Marquis Software Solutions has confirmed that data from 672,075 individuals had been compromised as a result of an August data breach that was previously reported to have affected at least 74 banks, financial entities, and credit unions, according to The Record, a news site by cybersecurity firm Recorded Future.

The breach involved data originating from a marketing tool acquired by Aura in 2021.

Stolen data includes customer business and contact information, as well as employee and corporate data.

Major South Korean credit card provider Lotte Card has been ordered by the country's Personal Information Protection Commission to pay a nearly $6.5 million fine following an August data breach that exposed the personal and credit information of 2.97 million customers, reports Cybernews.

U.S. surgical robotics firm Intuitive Surgical had its customer and employee data compromised following a phishing attack against one of its employees, reports MedTech Dive.

The breach, discovered on February 6, 2026, involved the compromise of 889 Starbucks Partner Central accounts.

The breach was discovered after Loblaw detected suspicious activity on a contained, non-critical segment of its network.
