What it takes

Most companies use general IT recruiters and the lack of understanding around roles, responsibilities, career trajectory and compensation leads to failure and can even have a negative impact on the company's brand. As a result, experienced information security recruiters are in high demand with both internal talent acquisition organizations and external search firms. Deep industry knowledge, long-term relationships, and understanding how people and opportunities align are essential qualities of a professional information security recruiter. 

Compensation

Compensation varies depending on environment, but corporate recruiter salaries generally range from $80K to $100K, while agency recruiters can earn well above six figures.
