Veritas unveils unified data protection tool

SiliconANGLE reports that Veritas Technologies has launched a new solution called Alta View, which offers access to all on-prem, cloud, multicloud and edge data protection capabilities via a single pane of glass. Rick Clark, the company's senior vice president for cloud sales, says the new tool is an extension of Veritas cloud-native data management platform, Veritas Alta, and is founded on the principle of ensuring application resiliency to maintain data resilience and protection. "We have a unique advantage of all of the different workload supports that we provide on-prem; we continue that expansion into the cloud. Its a single pane of glass across both on-prem and cloud for our customers. Now, they can actually see all of their data protection, all their application availability," Clark said. The company's Veritas Alta platform is currently being used by 85% of the Fortune 100 companies, which Clark said reflects on Veritas focus on enhanced workload support, cost optimization and customer experience.
