US authorities seize RAMP cybercrime forum domains

As reported by HackRead, US federal authorities have successfully seized the clearnet and dark web domains of RAMP (Ramp4u.io), a prominent Russian-language cybercrime forum. This action represents a significant blow to the global cybercrime underground, impacting ransomware affiliates, malware developers, and initial access brokers who utilized the platform.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), in coordination with the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida and the Department of Justice’s Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section, executed the seizure. The domains now display official seizure notices, redirecting to FBI and DOJ seals, with nameservers updated to fbi.seized.gov. A user believed to be an operator confirmed the forum's compromise on another underground forum. RAMP, which resurfaced in mid-2021, became a hub for ransomware operations, offering services like leaked data auctions, malware rentals, and initial access broker listings, distinguishing itself from earlier iterations focused on other illicit marketplaces.

The seizure of RAMP follows similar actions against other cybercrime forums, indicating a sustained effort by law enforcement to disrupt criminal infrastructure. While no arrests have been officially confirmed, the takedown highlights the increasing pressure on ransomware-as-a-service operations and their supporting ecosystems.
