UIDAI and NFSU forge 5-year cybersecurity and digital forensics partnership

As outlined in The Cyber Express, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) have entered into a significant five-year collaboration aimed at bolstering India's cybersecurity and digital forensics capabilities.

This strategic alliance, formalized on May 5 in Ahmedabad, establishes a framework to enhance cyber resilience within UIDAI's digital identity ecosystem. The partnership is built upon six key pillars, focusing on academic and professional development, information security, and system integrity. It also prioritizes the advancement of forensic infrastructure and laboratory capabilities to support incident investigations. Furthermore, the collaboration includes provisions for technical support in cybersecurity operations and joint research into emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, blockchain, and deepfake detection.

This initiative seeks to integrate advanced practices into the core operations of India's digital identity framework, ensuring stronger protection against evolving cyber threats and improving forensic readiness. The partnership also aims to provide NFSU students with practical experience and career opportunities within UIDAI-related projects, strengthening the nation's digital backbone while enhancing security.
