Adult video platform PornHub has confirmed that it was being threatened to have over 201 million records belonging to its Premium members pilfered in a November attack against third-party data analytics provider Mixpanel exposed by the ShinyHunters hacking operation should it reject paying the demanded ransom, reports BleepingComputer.Only a limited number of PornHub Premium users had their data compromised as a result of the incident, according to PornHub, which emphasized that only information from 2021 or earlier had been impacted and that credentials, payment information, and financial details had been spared. Meanwhile, an analysis of a sample of the 94 GB of PornHub data stolen from the Mixpanel breach revealed members' email addresses, locations, and addresses, as well as activity details, including the names, URLs, and keywords associated with watched videos.Such a development follows the admission by OpenAI and CoinTracker that their data had been compromised in the Mixpanel hack.
