Following insights from Cyber Insider, Sega has suspended services linked to its ALL.Net arcade network and Aime platform after discovering unauthorized access to several company servers.
The Tokyo-based company took these services offline at 3 p.m. on Nov. 1 to investigate the intrusion and verify system security. The disruption impacts online gameplay for ALL.Net-supported titles, arcade location information and associated network services. Additionally, the company suspended the use of Aime cards, the PrizeON service and new Sega ID registrations. Bandai Namco Experience confirmed the incident affects eight of its titles, including Mario Kart Arcade GP DX and Taiko no Tatsujin. Some cabinets may become unavailable for play entirely as the investigation continues. Sega reported that initial findings show no evidence of customer or business partner data exfiltration. The company clarified that payment information, including credit card details, was not stored on the compromised servers. Sega has not identified the intruder or the method of access, nor has it characterized the event as ransomware. The company is currently assessing the scope of the incident and stated that service resumption will only occur after thorough security checks. Sega pledged to strengthen its information security measures moving forward.
