Palo Alto next-gen firewall now supports Azure

Share

Palo Alto Networks announced that its cloud-based next-generation firewall is now available on Microsoft Azure as an Azure-native, a managed independent software vendor service, according to SDxCentral. As an Azure-native service, users will be able to easily provision, integrate, and manage the firewall on the cloud platform, while the NGFW is capable of deploying from the Azure portal quickly, the company says. Cloud NGFW for Azure will also integrate with the Microsoft Azure Panorama network security management tool, allowing users to enforce their security policies across both on-premises and Azure environments with the same level of security standards while providing a centralized view over hybrid cloud environments. Cloud NGFW for Azure features artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies and offers advanced URL filtering, advanced threat prevention, domain name system security and the company's WildFire security offering. Palo Alto says that it would handle all scaling, resilience, and software update duties for the service.
