Arizona-based automotive parts and accessories e-commerce platform Revolution Parts had data from more than 5.1 million of its customers allegedly exfiltrated following a cyberattack, Cybernews reports.Included in the data claimed to have been exfiltrated were Revolution Parts clients' full names, phone numbers, email addresses, IP addresses, home addresses, and device details, reported Cybernews researchers, who noted that the information may have been obtained from account setup pages and purchase forms."When attackers obtain personal and device information, they can use it to craft more targeted scams that are device-specific. Identity profiling is highly likely as well that could be used for future fraud," said researchers. With Revolution Parts also catering to automotive OEMs, threat actors could also harness the stolen data to launch targeted intrusions. However, attackers could also be peddling old information to deceive other threat operations, researchers added.
