Oracle EBS hack disclosed by Michelin

SecurityWeek reports that major tire manufacturer Michelin has disclosed having some of its files compromised following the Clop ransomware gang's widespread attacks weaponizing Oracle E-Business vulnerabilities that have impacted over 100 organizations.

Only limited localized data without sensitive or technical IT details had been exposed as a result of the intrusion, according to Michelin, which emphasized that the attack did not affect its global systems.

"Thanks to Michelins expertise and processes in the matter, all the corrective actions were taken at the appropriate time and were totally effective. The situation is now fixed," said a Michelin spokesperson. Clop previously leaked over 315 GB of archives purportedly obtained from the tire giant's systems.

Such a development comes more than a week after New York-based Madison Square Garden confirmed having been impacted by the Oracle EBS hack. More than 210 GB of archived material claimed to be from MSG had been exposed by Clop months prior to the disclosure.
