As reported by Bleeping Computer, Dutch telecommunications provider Odido has issued a warning regarding a significant cyberattack that has potentially compromised the personal data of 6.2 million customers.

The breach occurred over the weekend of February 7, when attackers gained access to Odido's customer contact system. The compromised information may include full names, addresses, mobile numbers, customer numbers, email addresses, IBANs, dates of birth, and identification data such as passport or driver's license numbers. Importantly, Odido stated that passwords, call logs, billing information, and scans of identification documents were not affected.

The company detected the incident, blocked unauthorized access, and launched an investigation with cybersecurity experts. Odido has notified the Dutch Data Protection Authority and is contacting all affected customers.
