North Korean hackers accessed servers belonging to the Blue House, the executive office of South Korea, and stole data from computers belonging to members the nation's legislature, South Korea's intelligence agency has reported.
The attack occurred early this month, and the report came less than a week after President Obama's joint press conference with South Korean President Park Geun-hye. The two presidents had announced that the U.S. and South Korea would coordinate more closely on cyber threats, especially attacks from North Korea's cyber army.
Last year, following a hack against Sony Pictures Entertainment, the FBI concluded that the North Korean government launched the attack. And just last month, South Korea's intelligence agency said a hack of the Seoul Metro in 2014 may have been coordinated by the North Korean government.
