SiliconANGLE reports that Okta has rolled out a new solution called Okta Device Access, which allows enterprises to implement their identity and access management protocols to devices in the hands of hybrid workers.
The identity access management firm says the new tool is part of its Workforce Identity Cloud, thus providing stronger authentication requirements for outside devices and helping organizations achieve a zero-trust security policy.
Okta Device Access aids administrators by enabling them to implement a unified user authentication policy across all user touchpoints, while giving employees a unified login experience whatever device or application they are using.
Currently available on Windows and macOS systems, the solution comes with two features: Desktop Multi-Factor Authentication for Windows and macOS and Desktop Password Sync for macOS.Desktop MFA extends Okta's Advanced MFA policies to the desktop login procedure while Desktop Password Sync creates Okta credentials for macOS user accounts to deter phishing attempts.
