Mazebolt launches radar validation for Akamai DDoS protection

Digital security barrier abstract cyber concept Visualization of network defense tech protection

MazeBolt Technologies Ltd. has launched a native deployment of its RADAR validation platform for customers using Akamai Technologies Inc. services, as reported by Silicon Angle.

The platform enables enterprises to conduct continuous distributed denial-of-service testing without taking services offline. This release addresses configuration gaps that frequently emerge as companies expand their application programming interfaces and service regions. According to MazeBolt, traditional testing methods fail to keep pace with rapid digital growth. Data indicates that 37% of attack vectors bypass existing protections during initial production environment tests.

The RADAR system utilizes a specialized library, including the VectorAI module, to simulate modern threats. This is critical as Akamai research shows Layer 7 DDoS attacks increased 104% over two years, partly due to AI-driven attack tools. Furthermore, a survey of 300 security leaders revealed that 86% test their defenses only once a year or less. With the median duration of certain attacks rising 738% since 2024, experts emphasize that maintaining current security rules is essential.

The new native support provides remediation guidance tailored to Akamai environments, allowing teams to verify and close security gaps effectively. RADAR also supports other mitigation vendors, including Cloudflare Inc., F5 Inc. and Radware Ltd.
