SecurityWeek reports that intelligence community veteran Timothy Kosiba has been named as the National Security Agency's latest deputy director following approval from President Donald Trump.

After initially entering the NSA as technical director for the Joint Functional Component Command for Network Warfare and then serving as technical director for the Requirements and Targeting Office in the Tailored Access Operations organization, Kosiba was then assigned to lead the Special U.S. Liaison Officer Canberra in Australia. Kosiba was then appointed deputy director at the NSA/Central Security Service Commercial Solutions Center before becoming chief of Computer Network Operations and deputy commander of NSA Georgia following his return from Australia.

"Tim is a people-focused leader with a wealth of experience that makes him perfect for the deputy director role. I am confident that Tim will continue to drive and guide us in our critical foreign signals intelligence and cybersecurity missions," said Acting NSA and Cyber Command Head William Hartman.
