In addition to phoning President Obama to discuss government spying concerns, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg took to his social networking site to express his frustrations.
Zuckerberg revealed in a Thursday Facebook post that, unfortunately, the outcome of his call showed him that “true full reform” would take a “very long time.”
“When our engineers work tirelessly to improve security, we imagine we're protecting you against criminals, not our own government,” Zuckerberg's post said, likely referring to recent Snowden leaks detailing how the National Security Agency (NSA) masqueraded as a Facebook server, among other exploits, to infect computers on a massive scale.
Zuckerberg concluded that it's up to “all of us” to “build the internet we want,” and that Facebook would do its part to help.
