IBM announced new capabilities have been introduced to its IBM Security Services for Cloud portfolio that allow implementation of “a consistent security strategy across their hybrid cloud environments,” through the use of artificial intelligence and automation for identifying security risks and other issues and for assessing overall cloud security posture, FierceTelecom reports.
Slated for immediate availability for its clients, the expansion to the IBM Security Services for Cloud includes Cloud Native Security Services, which provides advisory and managed security services resulting in enhanced visibility of native security controls in all cloud environments; Cloud Security Posture Management, which enables the creation and implementation of a custom cloud security posture management solution; Container Security, which provides security solutions for clients’ container environments; and Cloud Security Strategy, which would enable management of a hybrid, multi-cloud security assessment and strategy with the aid of enhanced advisory services.
Vikram Chhabra, global director for offering management and strategy at IBM Security Services, said the hybrid cloud era has brought with it the need for modernized security methods, “with a strategy based on zero trust principles that bring together context, collaboration and visibility across any cloud environment.”
