Biometric authentication solution provider authID announced the rollout of Verified 3.0, its new human authentication platform designed to replace multifactor authentication systems and eliminate human-error-based data breaches, The Fintech Times reports.
The Verified platform uses passwordless authentication, which addresses what a recent study showed is a common breach target by cybercriminals, and biometric identity, which includes a browser-based selfie capturing feature that would allow enterprises to authenticate the identity of the human using the device.
In addition, the company claims that Verified 3.0 offers several features that make the user experience better than that of MFA systems, including passwordless user log-in across any device and a two- to three-second identity verification procedure promising quick log-ins.
According to authID, the platforms passwordless authentication technology is FIDO specifications-compliant and is certified by the FIDO Alliance.
With HFA powered by Verified 3.0, we can help any organization build zero trust architecture that best serves their workforce and customers, bound with a biometric chain of trust, said Jeremiah Mason, authIDsproduct senior vice president.
