ZDNet reports HPE's unveiling of a number of cloud services adding new unified analytics and data protection capabilities to the company's GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform, as well as a new cloud adoption framework to support customers' transition to hybrid cloud environments.
The new HPE Ezmeral Unified Analytics, available as both a service and as software, is an analytics and data lakehouse platform designed as a hybrid native solution with optimizations for deployment in on-premise environments. Meanwhile, the Ezmeral Data Fabric Object Store is a Kubernetes-native object store that enables accessing of data sets in hybrid environments.
HPE also introduced GreenLake for Backup and Recovery, which allows automated backup and protection services for virtual machines, and GreenLake for Disaster Recovery, which uses technology from its recent acquisition Zerto to provide ransomware recovery capabilities within minutes.
The company's new framework, HPE Edge-to-Cloud Adoption Framework provides methodologies and automation tools enabling faster transition to a hybrid cloud experience with reduced risks, and featuring domains and subdomains considered as critical to creating an effective cloud operating model.
