“Next-generation care demands data science-informed decision support so we can more sharply focus on safe, efficient and effective patient care,” HCA Healthcare CEO Sam Hazen said.
Google Cloud’s involvement is also expected to boost mobile-based workflow improvement, analysis and alerts for physicians and nurses, as well as enhance efficiencies in non-clinical support fields such as human resources, physical plant operations and the supply chain.
“The cloud can be an accelerant for innovation in health, particularly in driving data interoperability, which is critical in streamlining operations and providing better quality of care to improve patient outcomes,” Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said.
Google Cloud will utilize its health care-oriented offerings such as Google Cloud Healthcare API and BigQuery, among others, in the new solutions.
