Former IDF cyber chiefs launch cloud security firm

Israeli cybersecurity company Sweet Security has gained momentum globally with its innovative approach to cloud protection, according to The Jerusalem Post.

Founded in 2023 by former Israel Defense Forces cyber leaders, Brig. Gen. (ret.) Dror Kashti, Col. (ret.) Eyal Fisher, and Orel Ben-Ishay, the company aims to transform how organizations detect and respond to threats in complex cloud environments.

Its core product, a runtime-powered Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform, provides real-time visibility and defense through lightweight sensors and AI-driven analytics. Sweet's platform distinguishes itself from traditional tools by using a custom large language model to enhance risk prioritization and cut false positives.

Recognized as a Cloud Security and CADR Leader in the 2025 Latio Tech Cloud Security Report, Sweet has attracted $45 million in funding and is expanding in the U.S. CEO Kashti said the firm's mission is to "make the life of other CISOs sweeter" by building true protection for modern cloud systems.
