Flurish Inc. reported that the personal information for some of its customers had been compromised when it was made available to some of the company's third-party vendors.
The data released could go back as far as 2012, but Flurish stated it does not believe these vendors were even aware they had access to the date nor does the company think the data was used, accesses or disclosed in any manner. The information involved includes irst and last names, email addresses, telephone numbers, home addresses, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers.
The company did not reveal how many customers were affected.
Flurish, which is a lend up– similar to a payday loan – company, said the information involved came from a variety of widgets, beacons, and analytics trackers from third-party companies it uses to provide services on its customers related to device authentication, site functionality, advertising, and marketing.
