ExpressVPN launches Identity Defender app for enhanced fraud protection

According to Tech Radar, ExpressVPN, known for its VPN services, has introduced a new standalone application called Identity Defender. This app is designed to offer comprehensive protection against identity theft and fraud for its users.

The Identity Defender app consolidates existing identity protection features from ExpressVPN, such as ID alerts, insurance, and credit monitoring, into a single, enhanced platform. New features include expanded dark web monitoring for sensitive data like business information and cryptocurrency wallet details, alongside personal identifiable information. Identity theft insurance coverage has been increased, offering up to $5 million in protection.

Additionally, the app introduces new fraud monitoring for auto and home titles, court records, high-risk transactions, and 401(k) accounts. A unique "Neighborhood Watch" feature alerts users to registered sex offenders in their vicinity.
