Silicon Angle reported that Amazon.com Inc. has unveiled its internally developed artificial intelligence system, Autonomous Threat Analysis (ATA), designed to identify vulnerabilities within its infrastructure.

ATA, developed by Amazon engineers during an internal hackathon, utilizes AI agents to detect cybersecurity flaws and propose mitigation strategies. The system can test over two hundred hacking methods in just 90 minutes, significantly expediting the vulnerability identification and remediation process. By simulating real cyberattack scenarios within Amazon's technology environment, ATA generates telemetry to validate the effectiveness of its proposed remediation methods.

Amazon's ATA not only accelerates variant analysis to identify vulnerabilities across different applications but also enhances detection capabilities against tactics like Python-based reverse shell attacks. As Amazon plans to integrate ATA into real-time incident response tasks, the system stands as a pivotal tool in fortifying the company's defenses against evolving cyber threats.
