A hacker known as 888 is advertising internal records purportedly from Samsung on a cybercrime forum, potentially exposing sensitive data, according to a recent report by HackRead.

The hacker claims to have obtained the data through a breach on a third-party contractor, offering a range of information including source code, private keys and user personally identifiable information (PII) from a healthcare backup. The compromised data reportedly includes access to MSSQL and AWS S3, with evidence suggesting a breach of Samsung Medison's healthcare environment. The hacker is seeking buyers to purchase the data using the privacy-focused cryptocurrency Monero.

If confirmed, this breach poses significant privacy and security risks, especially given the sensitive nature of the healthcare data involved.
