Security Brief Australia reports that Cohesity has expanded its Identity Resilience portfolio with new identity threat detection and response capabilities focused on securing hybrid environments using Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.The update integrates assessment, detection, automated response, and recovery workflows to address misconfigurations and malicious activity targeting credentials and privileged access. Vasu Murthy, Chief Product Officer, stated that identity is "at the heart of cyber resilience" and that the solution provides a "single, unified view of hybrid identity risk" to stop attacks faster and enable confident recovery. Developed in partnership with Semperis, the platform operates across three phases: pre-incident posture inspection and misconfiguration detection, real-time automated rollback of malicious changes during an incident, and post-incident forensics with natural-language change analysis.New features include Vulnerability Assessment, Automatic Rollback, Tamperproof Tracking, Service Account Protection, and Compliance Reporting aligned to major frameworks. Cohesity claims the enhancements can reduce Active Directory attack likelihood by 25% and cut manual monitoring time by 40%.
