Cybernews reports that U.S. multinational hospitality firm Hilton was claimed to have been compromised by the Clop ransomware gang.

Aside from accusing Hilton of negligent security practices, Clop's data leak site post provided neither details on the kinds of data it purportedly stole from the leading hotel brand's systems nor samples to substantiate its assertions. Hilton has also not acknowledged the claims of the Russia-linked Clop ransomware operation, which was previously reported to have breached thousands of organizations following attacks aimed at MOVEit, Fortra GoAnywhere, and Cleo file transfer software.

Clop's latest exploits have impacted Mazda, MazdaUSA, Canon, and Barts Health NHS Trust. Such a development comes after U.S. hotel chain Hyatt was allegedly breached by the NightSpire ransomware group, which leaked for free 48.5 GB of data supposedly stolen from the Hyatt Place Chelsea New York hotel.
