Axis Communications achieves SOC 2 Type 2 for cloud security

Axis Communications has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 attestation, confirming the long-term effectiveness of its cloud security and operational controls across Axis Cloud Connect and multiple cloud-enabled solutions, reports Security Today.

The independent audit evaluated Axis' controls over an extended period, validating that security, availability, and confidentiality standards are consistently applied across real-world, production environments. Wayne Dorris, program manager for cybersecurity at Axis, said, "SOC 2 Type 2 provides independent verification that our controls operate effectively in live environments, helping integrators and enterprise customers manage risk, meet compliance requirements, and deploy Axis solutions at scale with confidence."

The assessment builds on Axis' SOC 2 Type 1 certification in 2024, which verified the design of controls at a point in time, while Type 2 demonstrates ongoing reliability and operational discipline. The attestation covers solutions such as AXIS Device Manager Edge, AXIS Device Manager Extend, and AXIS Body Worn Live, offering enterprise customers in sectors including retail, healthcare, and transportation assurance of secure, scalable cloud operations.
