Suspected Iran-linked hacktivist operation Nasir Security, also known as Nasir Resistance, has commenced exposing data allegedly pilfered following a months-long breach of the Dubai International Airport, according to Cybernews.

Included in the data trove purportedly stolen from the airport's systems were passport photos belonging to Americans, Arabs, and Emiratis, even if Nasir Security initially promised not to release information from people in the United Arab Emirates, as well as luggage content images and airport security scanner photos, said Cybernews researchers. While there has been no indication of sensitive airport operational or intelligence information exposure, Cybernews researchers warned of potential identity theft or fraud stemming from the leaked data.

Nasir Security's actions come amid a mounting cyber war since U.S.-Israel's joint missile strikes against Iran in late February. Iranian state-backed threat operation Seedworm has since been reported to have breached multiple organizations, including a U.S. bank and an airport.
