Allegedly stolen ASUS data completely exposed by Everest ransomware

HackRead reports that ASUS had 1 TB of sensitive data purportedly stolen from its systems exposed in its entirety by the Everest ransomware operation, which claimed to have breached the global hardware and electronics company last month.

Nine files, some of which are believed to be from Qualcomm and ArcSoft, are included in the leaked data trove, which has been proliferating in Exploit, DamageLib, and other Russian-language cybercrime forums. While the exposed files are yet to be analyzed, Everest ransomware previously touted compromising ASUS data related to its calibration files, AI models, and memory dumps.

Such a development comes after Everest touted the theft of 1 TB of information from U.S. automaker Chrysler, including over 105 GB of Salesforce-related data. Under Armour was also claimed to have been compromised by Everest in a November intrusion that led to the exfiltration of 343 GB of data.
