Cloud networking services provider Alkira is partnering with cloud security vendor Check Point Software to enhance the Cloud Services Exchange, its cloud-based network infrastructure as-a-service solution, with Check Point's CloudGuard offering, according to IT Pro.
Through the integration, Alkira's solution, which offers a single configuration portal from which customers can connect various cloud resources and assets as well as enable customized routing arrangements and automated network capacity scaling, will receive enhanced cloud-based security capabilities, including allowing customers to implement a single security posture over their whole virtual network environment, according to Alkira executives.
CloudGuard maps against over 50 compliance frameworks and ensures security for APIs and web applications while also preventing security misconfigurations. CloudGuard also features a virtual security gateway for cloud network security and supports multi-cloud environments.
Alkira will enable access to CloudGuard gateways through its network services marketplace. Cloud Services Exchange users will be able to implement security policies for application traffic by inserting the gateways into Alkira Cloud Exchange Points and use the service to manage their CloudGuard setup.
