A deputy social media editor at Thomson Reuters has been indicted in California for conspiring with members of the hacktivist group Anonymous.On Thursday, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) announced in a press release that Matthew Keys, 26, was charged with three counts of damaging a protected computer.Keys was a former web producer for KTXL FOX 40, a Sacramento-based television station owned by Tribune Co.He is accused of giving Anonymous members a login and password to the Tribune Co. server, which ultimately allowed a hacker to deface the Los Angeles Times website.Keys could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted, as well as three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine per count.
