Brig. Gen. (Res.) Asaf Kochan is the former Commander of Unit 8200, the elite cyber and intelligence unit of the Israeli Defense Forces, and a former senior official in the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office. Widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost cybersecurity leaders, he spearheaded strategic national cyber initiatives and led teams that helped shape the modern landscape of cyber defense. Under his command, Unit 8200 solidified its reputation not only for protecting Israel’s national security, but also for cultivating global tech leaders across cybersecurity and innovation.
In 2021, Asaf co-founded Sentra, where he now serves as President. Drawing from his deep expertise in state-level cybersecurity, he leads the company’s mission to secure data in the cloud era through a data-centric security platform.
