I have had the privilege of working in information / cyber security for over 30 years. During this time I have had the honor of working with some of the founding fathers of our profession and to see many others enter the field and distinguish themselves as leaders and innovators. My own personal experience covers diverse areas such as investigations, technical surveillance countermeasures, executive protection, crisis management, disaster recovery and incident response, security governance, and enterprise risk management. I have helped many people establish careers in security and have provided innovative solutions to the clients I have served. Most recently I had the honor of designing and implementing a nation-wide security awareness program for the united Arab Emirates. Our Cyber Smart program provided awareness and career building building experiences for families, school children, college students interested in cyber security, and practitioners working in the field. As I look back I am most pleased with having had the opportunity to help people build their careers and to somehow support them in changing their lives.
