What it takes?
Tech skills needed can vary depending on the employer, but some common skills would be knowledge of: SIEMs, IDS/ IPS, SDLC, DLP, and VPNs. One should have a good understanding of compliance, policy and procedures, and vulnerabilities also.
Compensation?
Base salaries generally range from $80K - $120K+ (higher for contractors and high cost-of-living areas).
