What happened? A computer containing the personal information of an undisclosed number of Kellogg Community Federal Credit Union members was stolen from the offices of a third-party vendor last month.
What types of personal information? Names, addresses, telephone numbers, birth dates, Social Security numbers and account numbers.
What was the response? A letter, dated July 25, was sent to affected customers.
Credit union personnel have refused to identify the vendor.
The FBI has been notified, according to Tracy Miller, the credit union’s CEO.
