Company news: A new CTO at Easy Solutions and Tufin Technologies’ new hire

»Laura DeNardis (left) has been appointed senior fellow at The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI). The Waterloo, Canada-based organization is a non-partisan think tank of international governance. DeNardis will play a role in CIGI's global security project on internet governance. She is an associate professor at American University in Washington, D.C., and a scholar of internet architecture and governance. She has more than 20 years of experience in strategic internet architecture.

»Daniel Ingevaldson has joined Easy Solutions, a Sunrise, Fla.-based fraud prevention security vendor, as CTO. In his role, Ingevaldson will be responsible for the company's technical strategy and oversee its research team. He was previously co-founder and SVP of product management at Endgame Systems, an Atlanta-based security firm. Easy Solutions offers fraud prevention technologies that include anti-phishing, multifactor authentication and transaction anomaly detection solutions. 

»Christopher Harms has joined Cupertino, Calif.-based network security provider ForeScout Technologies as CFO. Harms brings more than 20 years of executive financial and operational management experience with him, and was most recently CFO of Socialware, a social media business solutions provider based in Austin, Texas.

»Paul Stockton has joined Sonecon, a Washington, D.C.-based economic advisory and analysis firm, as president of its Cloud Peak analytics division. The new division helps Sonecon's public and private sector clients analyze and address cyber threats and issues of business continuity and crisis management.

»John Becker has joined Sourcefire, a Columbia, Md.-based security solutions firm, as CEO. Prior to his role, Becker was CEO of ScienceLogic, a Reston, Va.-based network monitoring software provider. Martin Roesch, founder of Sourcefire, served as interim CEO before Becker's appointment. Roesch will continue in his role as CTO. 

»Tufin Technologies, a security policy management solutions firm based in Ramat Gan, Israel, has named Julie Shafiki (left) vice president of marketing. In addition, Adam Mittler has been appointed vice president of technical services to the executive management team. Shafiki will lead the company's global marketing strategies, including branding, corporate communications, product and channel marketing, and online marketing. Prior to joining Tufin, Mittler served for 13 years in various technical and leadership roles at internet security provider Check Point Software Technologies.

»Kevin Lynch has joined Cupertino, Calif.-based tech giant Apple as vice president of technology. He will report to Bob Mansfield, the company's senior vice president, who leads Apple's wireless and semiconductor teams.
