Chad Kliewer is a cybersecurity instructor and “recovering CISO” with over 30 years of experience in Information Security and Information Technology. He specializes in strategic cybersecurity operations and securing critical infrastructure, with a focus on translating complex technical risks into actionable business strategies. Throughout his career, Chad has navigated various organizational structures to support entities ranging from small businesses to large government enterprises with over 90,000 employees.
His industry background is led by experience in healthcare and telecommunications, with additional expertise in banking, government, and transportation. As a dedicated volunteer and strategic advisor, Chad has provided industry guidance to CISA and other government agencies through his service on the Communications and IT Sector Coordinating Councils. He is also a past-president and current advisor to InfraGard Oklahoma. Chad maintains a collection of professional credentials, including the Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (CGRC), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), and Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP).
Chad holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University.
