Deepak Taneja

Deepak Taneja is the General Manager of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) at CyberArk, bringing more than 25 years of leadership and innovation in identity management. A seasoned entrepreneur and security expert, he has founded and led multiple enterprise software companies, shaping the evolution of identity governance and access management. 

Before joining CyberArk in 2025 through its acquisition of Zilla Security, Deepak served as Zilla’s CEO and co-founder, driving the company’s growth as a modern IGA leader. Earlier, he founded Aveksa in 2004, one of the industry’s earliest pioneers in identity governance, which was acquired by RSA Security in 2013. He also served as Chief Technology Officer at Netegrity, where he led the transformation of SiteMinder into a market-leading web access management platform. 

An advocate for technology entrepreneurship, Deepak has served as a board member and advisor to several successful startups. He holds a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.
